Stockyards, Music, and Gymnastics

What do all of these things have in common? Well, these are some of the things that we did over the long weekend. Lane was sick last week, so Granny was here for a few days. She gave me and Jason the chance to go out on Friday night. We took her offer and headed downtown to Mickey Mantles. We had a few drinks, Jason smoked a cigar, and we got to talk to my brother for a while. After that we headed over to the Fox and Hound to meet up with friends Jill and John...there we listened to a guy play guitar. Pretty fun night.
Saturday night, Jason and I met some friends at La Luna for dinner and then headed to the Stockyards to see a show. Jenny's hubby Chad was playing at the Oklahoma Opry- he was very good, and we enjoyed our evening with one another. I think it would be fun to take Granny and Pa to Cattleman's for dinner then over to the Opry for some music- it was right up their alley.
Sunday was a gymnastic b-day party for a boy in Lyric's class. Jason had hockey, so I took both boys to play. Lane had more fun than anyone, I think! Jason's hockey league is in playoffs right now- his team won last week and will probably win this weekend, too- Jason scored 2 goals last weekend- he has scored at least 1 goal in nearly every game this season.
For this week- nothing too eventful- just busy. Once again, I will try to capture some of the moments with my camera....just to keep you posted!!
