Big Post!

It has been so long since I have posted...so here is basically a wrap of April thus far:

We dyed Easter eggs...Had Easter at my mom and dad's- it waas cool and rainy- so we had to hunt eggs inside- we also had to start the hunt as soon as baby Lane arrived- he didn't want to wait- as soon as we walked in the door he was picking up the "hidden" eggs. Memaw and Granddaddy missed the whole thing....My camera battery died- so I did not get any pictures- my mom did, though.

Cheese!!!

Look at his egg- so good for his first time ever!

Lyric getting a little assistance from Uncle Brandon- Sabra's brother

Lyric's egg- pretty good, too!

Lyric had a musical at school- the Crocodile Smile...We didn't get too many pictures- but we did get a video- you will hae to watch it- totally adorable. Lyric was front and center- some say it is because of his size...and I agree- it is because of the SIZE of his TALENT!! :)

All the kids lined up in the mirror hallway in my building

On Stage- ready to start

After the show

These are just miscellaneous from last week- there is a new Head of the Lower School-so the Charger Shine event last Friday was amazing. Charger Shine is a Lower School tradition that allows all of the students to start their day together singing songs, recognizing birthdays, and talking about important events at school. There are also a couple of pictures of the boys playing at the park in our neighborhood...

My laptop has crashed- and it has crushed me....I am working on recovering all the pictures from the hard drive- but it may take a while....

Okie Dokie Daddy Day

Lyric's class had a day just for dads today- there was a cowboy theme- not sure what all they did, but I do know that they had a very special time together. Snacks, games, horses, and lots of love.....so sweet. Ya-Hoo.

Bubby and a horse-

not sure what is on this paper- but I am certain it was made with love

jamie and Ali- I went to college with Jamie- so neat to have those types of connections with old friends and new family additions

Dad and Bub with the horse- so proud of Lyric for just getting on it! Not normally something he would do.
What special memories! I am so thankful and grateful for all of them!

Little League- pre-season

Lyric had his very first t-ball practice on Wednesday. So cute you really had to be there...Here are some pictures of their first-practice activities:

The after practice cheer- the boys all got in a circle- on their own- and said "1,2,3CHARGERS!" It was totally cute...

Date Night

My brother got us a couple of tickets to the Thunder-Lakers game on Tuesday- we had such a great time together- a much needed night out. Man, those guys are so tall!

Fun on Break

We weren't sick the whole week- we still managed to get in a little fun...We played at Granny's on Tuesday- the boys rode the tractor around the neighborhood. We also went to the zoo one afternoon with Colin and his g-ma, Tina- she was visiting from Pensacola. We played outside a bunch- ate most meals out on the picnic table- which completely reduces my stress levels since I don't have to worry about picking up after Lane. It was an OK break- but now we are back to work- but just for 7 more weeks....that's no big deal!

Lyric was trying to help Lane put his shoe back on-

Missed my 1 second window of opportunity to photograph Lane- at the zoo

The Night Before the Illness Struck

Monday of Spring break we went to Tulsa and celebrated Jason's birthday with a family hibachi-style dinner at Tokyo Garden. We love that place! I have not tried any other hibachi-style restaurant, but I am almost certain that none of them are as good as TG. We passed the camera around the 2 tables our family occupied and asked the holders to take self-portraits...That night- we went back to Granny's and that is where we learned that Jason had a fever and an excruciating headache that would later put us in an urgent care facility. The boys seemed fine, but in reality they were just little incubators of the smae virus. Thank goodness my high levels of estrogen and chardonnay were able to ward off the sickness before it could take hold in my cells!

Look at Lyric in the background! :)
