Finger Painting

I set out finger paints for Colin and Lyric last night- I don't know why I didn't think Lane would be interested- he was very interested. His favorite thing is to climb on the picnic table and stand up in the middle- having the table covered in paper and paint did not stop him. After the boys finished, he was right in the middle of it- on top of the table- covered in paints...washable of course.
He likes to yell- he gets a kick out of it- he usually yells "DA" at the top of his lungs, and then giggles after....totally cute.

Baby can't wait to climb on the table

He didn't try to eat the paint- just got it all over his face

Shouting to the world....

So cute...good thing the paint all washed off!

Zoo Day

I took the boys to the OKC zoo on Monday. Jenn and Ian met us there along with Valerie and Joey. It was a nice morning/afternoon- we packed a picnic and ate lunch by the water. The boys had a nice time looking around and seeing the animals. We try to hit the zoo once a week- it is always fun for the kids, and gives us something to do during the morning. We got a family zoo pass for the boys' birthdays- so it is also a good "free" day. Other days we try to go swimming, play in the sprinklers out back, go to the mall and walk around, and play with arts and crafts at home. It is nice to have some structure even if we are on summer break.

Sunday

Allison came in for a visit on Sunday. Along with her came her boyfriend, Jared, and his 3 boys- Aston (3), Logan(5), and Ethan(7). We grilled burgers and played outside- it was a nice evening- and the weather was perfect. My grandparents were there along with Julie, my mom, and my brother- a nice family gathering.

Florida part 4

Wednesday, Jason, Lyric, and I took the boat out for the day...we had to turn it in at 4:30. The weather was cloudy and the water was very rough but we made the best of it. We tried fishing all over the place, but the currents were too strong- so no fish were biting. We did go to a nice little lunch/fuel spot- Burdines. That night, we grilled steaks and just hung out. Thursday we went back to Key West and toured the Eco Discovery center, the USS Mohawk, and the Turtle Kraals Museum- we also at lunch at a little hole in the wall Mexican place called Salsa Loco. On the way back to Marathon- we stopped at Bahia Honda State Park- they have an awesome sandy beach there- just so happened a huge thunderstorm was rolling in when we got there, so we will be going back on Friday. It was a great- unplanned- afternoon. Thursday night, we just fished- caught several off the dock- and hung out int he pool. Friday, we are headed for Crane Point Nature Conservatory, Bahia Honda, and the Turtle Hospital. Busy busy!

Lyric loves being on the water....
