Fun at Becky and Weewands

We had a couple of par-tays at the Gray house...we grilled chicken one night and everyone came over. We had a lot of fun- especially making s'mores around the huge fire pit. What a great weekend!

Boys Ranch

Jason and I took the boys to a family night at the Edmond Boys Ranch. It is a place for troubled boys to live in a loving, supportive, Christian environment. They had a big petting zoo, horseback rides, playgrounds, hot dogs, hamburgers, and other family fun events. We had a lot of fun there. Lyric would not pet any of the animals, but baby Lane did. He especially loved the camel- and the camel was pretty curious about him, too.

Union vs. Edmond North

We went to the football game as the visiting team- it was a little surreal to go into the stadium wearing Huskies gear- but we got to see lots of old friends. Here is a picture of me with my friend Tiffany- the orange punkin head is baby Lane....

Playin' Around

We walked to the park today after school and took a few pictures. Got home and had spaghetti for dinner. Should have taken spaghetti pictures, they would have been pretty entertaining! baby Lane is growing like a weed...and Lyric is, well, Lyric is just too precious.

Fun with baby Lane

Thomas!

We took Lyric to see Thomas the Train on Sunday. It was a complete surprise- he was pretty excited, but didn't want to get too close to the action. We had a great time together. We started the day at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and then went to the Train museum for a few hours. We rode on the train- which was pulled by Thomas himself. We also watched a magician, got tattoos, and walked around. It was an awesome day as a real live family of four.....

Friday night we took the boys (Lyric, Lane, and Colin) to the Edmond North football game. It was a good time. Jan and Rick went with us, too- Rick got pelted inteh back by a piece of ice by a kid at the top of the stands- Teacher-mode mandy took care of the situation..then a police officer kicked the kida nd his friends out of the stadium.

Pittenger Regional

Well- this week we have 4 sick family members.....I started it with a sinus infection that feels like the flu. Baby Lane isn't handling the soy very well- so we took him back tot he dr. today- he has ACID REFLUX....seriously- I have to give my 4-month old medicine to help with AR...Lyric came into my bed this morning around 2:30 saying his "face hurt". I got some Tylenol down him, thinking he was developing the same thing I had....nope- once the tylenol was swallowed and he relaxed, he started screaming that his ear hurt. So, Lyric went to the dr. today, too- ear infection. Great. Now, Jason has the same sinus-flu thing and let's just say he is not coping very well.....
So- 4 sick people, during the work week- and on top of that, our insurance co-pay for GENERIC prescriptions is 25 dollars- THAT is ridiculous!
Dr Visits for 2 children: 30 dollars
Prescriptions at Walgreens: 95 dollars
Knowing that my birth conrol pills do not come in generic: very depre$$ing

Anyway- Jan and Rick will be here tomorrow- we are very excited for that- I think everyone will feel a lot better after a round of meds and a good night's sleep.
Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment:

First attempt at rice cereal...what a challenge....

New House

Well, it has been 1 week since we started moving in to our new house in Edmond. I will take some pictures as soon as things are a little more orderly. It is still pretty chaotic- boxes here and there, stuff all over the place, and don't even ask about the garage! Anyway- The boys are adjusting well, in fact better than Jason and I are. Lyric has a new BIG bed that he has been sleeping in all week. Lane's crib is set up n his room, but he has been sleeping in a little bed next to me this week. Part of me is not ready to let him have his own room yet, but he has also been sick- a lot of sinus drainage and coughing...so I just feel better with him next to me.
We switched baby to soy formula, he may have a slight allergy to cow's milk- his skin is a little dry and he is really gassy. I found the boys a pediatrician here in Edmond and took Lane to him the other day. So far, no change in baby since the switch- but it will probably take a few more days...
Uncle Kyle (Ky-wo as pronounced by Lyric) bought bubby a baseball glove this week. He loves it- even slept with it the first 2 nights. He also took it to school for show and tell on Thursday.
There are lots of young families in our neighborhood with lots of kids close to Lyric's age. AND- people here actually go out into the FRONT yard instead of hiding behind a privacy fence in the back. It will be nice here- just going to take us a while to adjust....
