School's Out!

Lyric had his school's end of year party...it was a beach party. What a great way to end the school year! Thursday I took the boys to see a baseball game- Texas vs kansas- Big 12 tournament. Jenn gave us some great tickets- we had a really nice time.

Lane's Birthday part 2

Saturday we all got together to celebrate several awesome occasions....Lane's 2nd birthday- which also happens to be the birthday of his g-ma Lake...whom he never had the chance to meet- but I am certain that she is looking down on him with a prideful smile every day. Jan's birthday was Saturday- Mother's Day was Sunday- and this year ALL of us were able to celebrate together if you know what I mean....more details on that later if you are not sure what the heck I am talking about.
So- Lane gots lots of presents- the rain scooted out long enough for us to get outside for a bit of sunshine and fun. We had lunch- cupcakes- champagne- and best of all...time together.

Lane's Birthday- Part 1

Lane turned 2 last Friday. We had a great day together- started off sleeping in just a little, then powdered donuts for breakfast. We loaded up the stroller and some snacks and headed to the zoo. Normally we take a lunch but I thought it wold be a nice treat to have lunch in the canopy at the zoo- well....it was a Friday in May- so not only were we at the zoo- so was every other school aged child in the state. Very crowded- we only stayed there about an hour- then headed over to Chic-Fil-A in Edmond for some lunch and playground time. The boys had such a nice afternoon- and I just can't wait to spend so much quality time with them this summer. Not much longer!

Mmmm...hostess donettes...a breakfast that screams healthy!

So cute- they loved the fish this time...

Again...totally cute- looking at ducks and turtles

On the plaground- Lane was not feelin' the camera this day...notice there are no face shots of him.

Ring Pops and Moustaches

Lyric had a t-ball game last week- but it has been so rainy that the other team assumed there was no game- so they just did a little practicing- hitting, catching, and throwing....and that is enough hard work to warrant snacks at the concession stand. Lane has to have everything Lyric has- so he got to enjoy a ring pop- and some popcorn...at the same time. Gross.
Lyric's class has been working on memorizing nursery rhymes- and Friday all of the students had to dress up like their favorite nursery rhyme character. Lyric was Dr. Foster from Glouster.....never heard of that one until this year- but he has it (and many many others) memorized...he lookde adorable in his little costume.

Mee and baby Lane...not baby for long- you know he will be 2 on Friday!!

Another of Dr. Foster- too cute.

Teacher Appreciation

I took the boys to Chick-fil-A last week for a teacher appreciation photo opp. My friends father-in-law owns the location in Penn Square. It was a great chance to see a few of my teacher frineds from last year and of course a great chance to eat some delicious chicken. I have met a few people who have never eaten at a Chick-Fil-A...if you are one of them, you should really try it- and you should try the one in Penn Square- it is the best.
Jeff was dressed up as the cow- Lane would not have anything to do with him and Lyric was pretty skeptical himself.

jenn is next to the cow- her hubby Jeff...I am the shorty on the end....

Fun with G-Daddy

Granddaddy and Memaw came over one night while Jason was at Prom. We just hung out in the back yard and played some ball with the boys....Granddaddy really had a good time- but I think the boys enjoyed it even more.

89ers Day 09

We met a few friends in Guthrie for the 89ers Day parade. We had a great time just watching ALL the parade entries go by- it lasted over 1 and 1/2 hours! Lane did not care for the loud motorcycles and go-carts- but other than that he enjoyed it. We were goign to trek to the carnival with everyone, but Lane had had enough by the end of the parade- so we just headed home. Thanks to Izzy for watching with us- it is always fun to spend time with friends.

It was such a big deal, even the President was there...you have to look really close in the car....

They will thank me for this picture in 20 years! Izzy and Lyric....
