65 and Lovin' It

Some people I know (BFF) really do not enjoy mild, spring like temperatures in the middle of February. I am not one of those people. I am ready for trees to bloom, buds to flower, and insects to fly. I am so ready I bought the boys a couple of outdoor toys yesterday- a plastic golf set for Lane and a new baseball bat for Lyric. Lyric has gone through about 5 or 6 of the plastic golf sets in his short lifetime- so the one I bought for Lane was to be off limits for Lyric- no deal. Lyric only wanted to play golf once we got home- now, the pieces are scattered all over the yard...and there will be fierce competition for the toys once we get home this afternoon.
I did get a couple of action shots....wouldn't it be prettier if the grass were green? In due time....

Lyric trying to gank some of Lane's clubs- he was not happy.

Lane had a death grip on those things.

Future pro? Maybe!

Just look at his form- head down, arms straight, feet planted...I see a good future here!

Lane on the other hand- trying to hit the ball with the handle of the club- he is only 1 and 1/2- he'll get there....

Weekend at Granny's

Here are a few pictures of Valentine's Day in Tulsa- should have taken more pictures, huh!

Ready for nite nite!!

Pirate and Princess Ball

We took the boys to a Mid-Winter Break party- the Pirate and Princess Ball- last week. A new student in Lyric's class wanted everyone to come over and meet is family- so we went and had a great time. There were lots of neat decorations- my favorite was the balloons- they had strobe ights inside so they lit up the patio- couldn't quite capture that on camera. Their home was amazing- the mom is a decorator and their home is a show home- wow!

Jason and Lane taken as they were upstairs and I was in the foyer.

Lyric on the stairs- taken as I was on a balcony- inside....

My little pirate....

My other little pirate...I can't believe he let me take his picture!

Gala and brunch

Saturday night Jason and I went to the Heritage Hall "Fabulous at 40" gala. There wer eover 550 people there- there were silent auctions, a live auction, a wine pull, and lots of other fun party activities. We had a nice time. Sunday we hosted a brunch in honor of Sweeny's birthday today and Jill's birthday tomorrow. Sweeny and Jill's hubby, John, are musical like Jason- so we played in the garage for a while. Today- back to work- I will try to take interesting pictures of the kids and put them up soon- looks like the last few posts were just about me and Jason...I know we aren't as popular as the boys!

Part of Lyric's class project- can you spot him?

Strongmom competition on Sunday...just kidding- I was moving the swingset for Lyric.

Saturday in the park....

We slept in a little on Saturday- woke up- had some breakfast- then loaded up and went to the park. I pushed Lane in the stroller, Jason walked with me, and Lyric rode his scooter around the trail- almost 3 miles!! After that work out- we stopped by the playground for a little fun. We couldn't stay too long- Lane needed a nap and we needed lunch. Nana is taking the boys for a sleepover tonight while Jason and I are at the Heritage Hall gala....it is going to be a great night. Sunday we are having champagne brunch with a few friends to celebrate Jill's upcoming b-day. Should be a fantastic weekend...the weather could not be better in February!

If there was an award for the most difficult person to photograph- Lane would win....

Wheeee!!

Lyric at the top of the monkey bars....

NBA and Chardonnay.....

Friday night we had GREAT tickets to see the OKC Thunder at the Ford Center. Julie came over and watched the boys for us so we could go to the game. We had a great time visiting with friends and watching basketball.

What a great view of the court!

These boys (smurfs) were sitting next to us- a little b-day party. They were adorable.

Kyle working hard at Mickey mantles- they were packed after the game.

Jill and John- John in his new specs....

Me and my sis- we are back in the same town together- it is so nice to have her here!

Lyric at School

Lyric comes to school with me in the mornings, then a student of mine walks him down to his pre-k building. Lyric loves to draw on the white board...so Friday i happened to capture him on film....

Lyric with his new camo backpack- it is huge! Almost bigger than he is.

One of his creations- it says "I'm going to watch TV with Colin" very cute!

Me and silly bub before school on Friday.

Party Weekend

We had lots of parties last week- despite the weather. The ageLOC launch went very well on Wednesday- Friday I took Lyric to a "Mad Science" birthday party- Saturday I helped host a baby shower for friend Sabrina's new baby boy while Jason took Lyric to another party at a local gym. Saturday night we had a few peeps over for some food and games- Sunday we tried out the new Mama Roja's Mexican restaurant. Sabra is now managing there instead of Lakeside- so we were lucky enough to get on a few of the VIP lists.
This week looks to be just a busy- I have some demos scheduled for facials- Jason's school is fundraising all week- which means lots of activities- we have the Heritage Hall Gala on Saturday- looking forward to a productive and money-making week!!!

Lyric at the science birthday party....having some cake- or maybe just a little of the icing.

making green slime....the kids could take their slime with them but somehow we can't seem to find it...hmmm...wonder where that messy, green slime went?

Food for Sabrina's shower- Jason grilled a bunch of chicken breasts for me and I made homemade Caesar salad....it was non-traditional yet very tasty...and healthy!

Me and Sabrina....baby is due middle of march....

Sabrina with the shower hostesses....we had a really nice time together....
