Christmastime Part 2

We celebrated Christmas evening in Tulsa with all the Pittengers. The boys got more toys than we know what to do with. The food was great, and the fellowship was even better.

Merry Christmas part 1

Let's See....Last week, Lyric had his holiday party at school, we finished up finals, grades, and shopping. Sunday I went to my friend Erin's house for an all-girl holiday party. It has been a busy, but fun last couple of days.
Tuesday we loaded up the boys and went out in search of beautiful light displays.
We found many homes with spectacular lights....Christmas Eve we went to my mom and dad's house in Guthrie- Santa made a special stop at their house for the boys. He brought Lyric a Wii game system, Colin an electric dart board, and Lane a tractor. Very fun night. It is Christmas morning as I am loading this post...Santa was very good to all of us this year. Lane got a little drum set and Lyric got the "William Thalcon"...also known as the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. We are just cleaning up and getting ready to pack and head to Tulsa for a few days. We are really looking forward to spending time with family and enjoying our time off.

Presents!

Lyric made me the most awesome present at school. We got home before Jason so Lyric went and put the gift under the tree...Jason had to go to an event at school- so we opened the package while he was gone- and documented to whole thing. How sweet is Lyric? Extra sweet- I hope he always stays like this....I know he won't...but I can dream....

Here is the bag that he decorated himself....totally adorable.

The gift- a hand-painted ceramic tile from my bubby. Lane was loving it, too- can't you hear him saying "Ooohhh...."!

Lyric with his masterpiece.

Funny picture of bub me- we like to call this style of posing "Mike" style.

Another "Mike" style picture...he would be proud.

Soiree!

Well, what can I say- the 7th annual Snowman Soiree was a hit. We had it all....great friends, great food, great drinks, and lots of fun! See for yourself:

Conversation with friends

Me and Sabrina....

Gift exchange fun....

Courtney and Carmen

A picture of some of our festivities- it's not a party without Lottery Scratch-offs! No big winners, though....as usual.

Getting ready for a little jam session....John, Rick, and Jason played guitars for us.

Cindy and Jeff by the tree- I wanted a picture of everyone in front of the tree, just didn't get to it in time....

Heidi and me....

We played some Trivial Pursuit late in the evening- I don't remember the words being so dang small on those little cards...I had to wear RRRick's glasses....which he ended up leaving on the kitchen counter when they left....maybe it's a hint.

Rick, having a blast....

Jason and Mike- very handsome.

Holiday Decorating

Well, I had to take Lane to the Dr. yesterday for a really yucky cough. He was diagnosed with "walking pneumonia" and given a hefty antibiotic. He already sounds better today. While he was napping, I painted the spare batchroom- I also put a little holiday touch in there...We bought new stockings and hung them last night as well as decorated the tree. More to come of that later.....
I threw in a few bonus pictures of Lyric and his "faux"hawk from last night.....
Enjoy!

Stockings hung by the chimney with care....

Improved bathroom...

My little rocker

He was making an "L" with his arms.....

Korter

We have a new addition to our household. He is with us to make sure Santa knows exactly how the boys are acting in these all important days leading up to Christmas. If you come over, Lyric will be sure to introduce you to Korter, our little scout elf. Lyric named him- not sure how he came up with it, but it works for us....He is totally cute and can be hard to find. Each night when we go to sleep, Korter flies to the North Pole to report to Santa- he returns to a new spot in the house before we wake up. It has been nice having Korter around.

Here is Korter on the day he arrived- he took a seat on the mantle.

Another shot of the elf...yesterday he was on the armoire, this morning he is in the kitchen on top of the cabinets-

Swing, Swing....

The weather was so nice on Sunday, we played outside with the boys. Lyric and Jason played football and Lane just ran around. We got them on the swings and took a few pictures....

You can aske Lane to show you his teeth and this is what you get...I love it.

Lane and Lyric on the see-saw- Lyric being goofy as usual

Another good shot of Lane

Fun on the swings
