Ahoy, Matey...

I took the boys to the science museum's new Shipwrecked exhibit last night. We met Jen and Jeff for dinner before we went to the museum. We had such a nice evening.

Weekend Update

We were pretty busy over the past weekend. We had 2 birthday parties to attend, football to watch, grocery shopping to complete, and games to play.
Friday night Lyric and I stopped by Sam's to get a few items- I also had to fill up my van- There are not too many things I enjoy less than buying gasoline. The pictures below tell you why it was a little less painless this time around.
That night we ordered 2 giant pizzas from Hideaway and played cards with granddaddy, Carol, Mike, and Julie. It was a nice evening in.
Saturday morning we headed to Metro Gymnastics for party #1. The kids all had a great time- we had fun just watching them play with all of the the gymnastic equipment. After that party, we ran home to give Lane a nap before party #2- Evan's 9th birthday. I forgot my camera at home so you will just have to picture in your head all the fun we had.
Saturday night I made some yummy soup and we watched the OSU football game.
Sunday was a brunch- tried the new spa system and became an investor in my own financial freedom as well as the longevity of my own beauty!
:)
Whew...we really know how to cram a lot of activities into a weekend!

I was completely empty...awesome huh!

Lane loving the bar at the gym- he could practically do a pull up! I guess I would be able to do a pull up, too if I only weighed 22 pounds!

The Eyes Have It

Lyric got a hold of the camera last night- he loves taking pictures of himself....I love his eyes in the first one....it is like looking at a young Jason (with green eyes).

See?

Funny face....

My boys- so cute....having a fruit break watching some TV with dad...Lane enjoying (or inhaling) grapes- Lyric chomping some apples

Baby in the Bumbo

I have been going through things around the house and listing the items we no longer need on craigslist. I have a few baby items that are in very good condition that were listed today...things that Lane really never paid any attention to. Last night while I was taking pictures of the items, Lane decided he wanted to play with the things that have been sitting idly by for the past 6 months. Here are a few pictures of lane in the Bumbo seat.....

Can't you jsut hear him saying "cheese"?

This child NEVER looks at the camera!

Miscellaneous

Here are a few random photos I have on my camera....I will take better pictures this week and post them for yor enjoyment....we have been pretty (uneventfully) busy as of late- I will be sure to include some interesting activities into the next few days. I have created a NEW BLOG- you can click on the link to the right that reads "Better than Botox".....

Baby Lane was not feeling well before he left for Granny's last week so I gave him a little medicine in the morning- apparently- it worked- he passed out on the couch with his blankie in his mouth- felt great the entire remainder of the weekend.

Fun at PF Changs

More fun at PF Changs- with "drumsticks"

In the white sink taking a bath at Nana's- he was sooooo unhappy- just look at that bottom lip

He just wanted OUT!

Wii Boxing

We went to Dallas over the weekend to visit Jason and Meredith. We had dinner at a place called Fireside Pies on Friday night and got awesome take out from Eatzi's on Saturday night. We went shopping most of the day Saturday- after Meredith and I took a nice long walk along the Katy Trail (very near their home), hung out- watching football mainly, and played the WII. We had a fun time hanging out without the kids and just being able to chat with other grown ups! Here is a video of one of our grown up activities.....

Rainbows and Lollipops....

Well, no lillipops, but there was a beautiful rainbow yesterday- it went from my backyard into Julie's backyard...at least that's what Lyric said. He was excited to see it because he had never seen a rainbow before.
Colin came over for dinner- the boys ate on tv trays and watched Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Almost in our back yard....

Lyric's newest pose in all of his pictures is his "serious" look....he is funny!

Here it is.....

Lane has developed the most adorable laugh- and we are forcing him to talk to us with words instead of whining or crying- or getting Lyric to help him. His newest phrase is "here it is"....you have to listen close to get it- I first heard him say it last night while we were eating dinner- he dropped a piece of his chicken in his seat and first said "uh-oh"...then when he found it he said "he it is"...too cute. I try to get him to say "I love you" but he just doesn't want to yet. I will try to shoot a video that is a little lighter and easier to see within the next day or two....

Halloween on Low Batteries

Literally- my camera batteries died- on a night with lots of photo opportunities. I got a few good shots of the boys. We had a nice time- we went to Carmen's house and met up with Courtney- ate a little dinner then took the kids around the neighborhood. Kyle and Colin met up with us and took Lyric to another neighborhood when it was time for baby Lane to hit the sack. We have so much candy at home....it is ridiculous!

Lyric with the kids- ready to get some candy!

Lyric posing for me

Showing me all his candy

Lane loved all the decorations- he kept saying "ooohhh!"

First you get an m&m- put it in your mouth, then take it out every 2 seconds to look at it

Before you know it- m&m will be everywhere! Thank goodness for Sabra- she came with one of Lane's favorite things- a bottle of water- he likes to "drink" out of the bottle- but really it just pours out all over him- rinsed all that candy right off!
